Project Description

This client was in need of a small simple update to their kitchen. The custom cabinets that were installed in 2005 were still in great shape but the kitchen just needed a few new modern touches. The first step was to remove the laminate counter tops and install new Giallo Ornamental granite. The clients loved their simple 4” x 4” tile backsplash so the tops were painstakingly removed as not to damage the tiles. After the new granite was installed it was fitted with a deep, under-mount, stainless steel, 2-bowl sink. A sleek single hole, high arc faucet with a pull down sprayer and a matching soap dispenser were the final touches.

Next we removed the old pendant lights over the island and the chandelier over the table. These lights were nice but needed some updating because they did not provide ample light for the area. The lights were replaced with Dark Brushed Bronze fixtures that came equipped with LED Edison style bulbs. The existing recessed lights were switched out with LED retrofits for increased light and energy efficiency.

The last step of this small update was to install the new homeowner provided stainless appliances which included a new range, hood, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave. With these simple updates the kitchen is now up to date and energy efficient.
